Church Disunity

This morning on my way to the clinic, I stopped to look at 2 birds fighting on the ground. Note - I have never seen birds fight before so it amazed me. I looked up and noticed someone else who was also bearing witness to this 'fight'. One of the birds wanted to fly away but the other bird quickly brought him back down again and they continued fighting.

I had to continue walking to get to the clinic early enough...as I walked something sad dropped in my spirit.

The 2 birds represent churches who are fighting each other. As soon as 1 of the churches make progress or the leadership is successful somehow (takes flight), the other church quickly brings it down by false testimonies, backbiting, curses, etc. The other sad thing was that while the churches are fighting - the world watches on the sidelines.

The Lord is calling for unity. We need to stop looking for ranks, titles and special treatment and remember that it is not about us but about Jesus alone - Stop fighting each other and do away with offence, pride and die to self! The time is running out and then Jesus will be here. Instead of winning souls - we waste precious time.
