True character revealed

This morning as I walked over a bridge and looked down at the dried up canal/river and saw all the dirt / pollution at the bottom - I had a revelation.

When we go through tests and trials where much is taken from us - Our material possessions, comfort or we go through marital or financial problems or whatever the trial may be - our true characters are revealed just like that dried up dirty ground where the lovely waters use to run covering up so much that needs to be dealt with and removed.

Let's decide to allow God to use our trials to shape us...to refine us and get rid of the waste within our hearts. Once the dirt is removed and the waters run again - how much more space there will be for the Holy Spiri
