IN CHRIST WE ARE BIGGER THAN ANY GOLIATH

Reading the first book of Samuel I realized something this morning. The writer explains in detail what Goliath looks like - his height, descriptions and the weight of his armour is given. To anyone, these details would be daunting. It would most likely strike fear into opponents.

Many times illness comes forth like Goliath. We know how it can overcome people, we know the symptoms and we understand that it attacks the body and how serious and in a degree has some power to destroy. We look at the description of these illnesses and we are full of fear...we are intimidated especially when the sickness' track record is high in taking lives.

We need to recognize, understand and exercise the fact that we are more than overcomers through Jesus Christ. We need to remember that perfect love casts out fear so we need to hold on to God who is love and remember who we are in Him!

The power we have inside us is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. In comparison to Goliath, we are far beyond his league because we are children of the Most High God. We do not allow the spirit of intimidation to weaken us, we do not stand by and allow Goliath to rob us - We trust in our God who is so big, no measurements could describe Him. Shout a shout of praise, blow the horn in victory and see what the Lord can do on our behalf.
