Blended family in Christ

Today I look back at how far I've come. From a molested adolescent, rebellious teenager, drug addict, struggled with bisexual behaviour and much more - God has held me in the palm of His hand. I am now a wife to my handsome, brave husband, Moenaan who gave his heart to the Lord while we dated. He suffered much when he turned from Islam but gained Jesus and has never turned back. I am a mother of 4 beautiful daughters. Our family is very blended indeed.

I had Jasmine who is 14 years old when I was 20 years old - her father abandoned us and then 2 years later I met Shiloh's father. After dating him for 2 years, I gave birth to Shiloh (who will be 10 years old soon). Our relationship lasted for many years (on and off) because of all the lies, cheating and abuse. Iv'e learned many hard lessons during the time we were together. I went through depression and tried taking my own life after we broke up. He passed away just over 4 years ago. I thank God we made peace with each other before he died.

I met Moenaan when Shiloh was about 4 years old. We endured much together. My ex always interfered. Moenaan attended church with me in secret and gave his heart to Jesus. We broke up a few months after I fell pregnant with Azariah though. His family had rejected him. We count it grace from God that there was reconciliation between Moenaan and his parents and some family members before my father in law passed away two years ago. After we broke uphHe moved to Moorreesburg where he grew in the Lord and helped with the rehabilitation of drug addicts. When Azariah was 3 months old, he came back to us and we got married the following year. I moved to Moorreesburg 4 months after our wedding because I was still employed.

Our fifth anniversary is next month. Super excited!

Moenaan also has a handsome son, Kayden. He is 13 years old and lives with his mom. Our baby Hope was born in January this year.

This is our story in a very small nutshell. Our journey continues but this time - the difference is that we have Jesus and we are raising our children in the fear of the Lord to give them the advantage we didn't have growing up. We are active within our home church. We face many challenges and see many breakthroughs too but that's for the next blog post.

Be blessed
