Brokenness - the point where your'e lying flat on your face, prostrate before God. Arms stretched out with your eyes so swollen because of the wells of tears shed. You no longer have words to utter but as you sob before Abba Father, you feel your burdens lifting as Holy Spirit comforts and whispers tender truths in your ear.
Brokenness - where the enemy thought he had defeated you but there is no better place than in the presence of God, at His alter with all your hurt, dissapointments and challenges. You may have stumbled but you will not remain down and out because as you surrender to the Creator of heaven and earth - He will raise you up, strengthen and equip you.
Brokenness - the point we realize we need Him. Are we desperate enough to reach out and touch the hem of His garment? Will we be as brave as the woman with the issue of blood? She was ridiculed and rejected because of her illness yet she pushed through the crowd. She was desperate for Jesus. She was desperate for deliverance. She had faith that should she just touch His hem, she would be healed. Are we desperate enough for Jesus? This woman's finances were attacked too - she had spent all her money on doctors. Socially, financially, emotionally - this woman was broken.
Lets reach for Jesus with all that we've got - no matter who or what because it is He who holds what we need.
